The Role
As an Application Consultant, you’ll be at the heart of delivering sofco’s planning solutions to our customers. You’ll work across the full project lifecycle, from understanding requirements and designing solutions, to implementation, testing, training, and post-go-live support.
You’ll also have opportunities to contribute to Pre-Sales and R&D, helping shape the future of sofco’s software and services.
Key Responsibilities
Implementation & Delivery
- Lead the understanding and documentation of customer requirements and solution design.
- Configure sofco applications according to design specifications.
- Collaborate with Technical and Data teams on architecture, interfaces, and ETL requirements.
- Conduct application and end-to-end testing.
- Deliver engaging solution demonstrations and user training.
- Support UAT, go-live activities, and post-implementation handover.
- Manage smaller projects where required.
Customer Support & Relationship Management
- Respond to customer support requests and helpdesk queries.
- Prepare and deliver Statements of Work for customer enhancements or modifications.
- Build trusted relationships with customers through proactive communication and delivery excellence.
Pre-Sales & Solution Design
- Contribute to project scoping and estimation.
- Support configuration and presentation of software demonstrations.
- Participate in pre-sales meetings in a supporting consultancy role.
R&D & Product Support
- Provide detailed input to product enhancement specifications.
- Develop and execute test scripts for new functionality.
About You
You’re an experienced professional with a strong understanding of supply chain planning and business processes. You’re comfortable working directly with customers, turning complex business challenges into practical software solutions.
Must-Have Skills & Experience
- Strong knowledge of supply chain processes: Demand, Inventory, Production, Procurement, and Distribution.
- Experience implementing or supporting planning / ERP / business software solutions (either vendor or client side).
- Understanding of data structures, databases, and ETL processes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
- Confident delivering workshops, training sessions, and presentations.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Experience configuring packaged software applications.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server.
- Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Word.
- Experience in multiple industry sectors.
